Camping - Chalet Presanella - LOMBARDIA - Camping & Village Farmhouse Residence

Presanella is a warm and friendly family run camp site. It is located at an elevation of 1.150 m. within the Adamello Regional Park and opposite the Stelvio National Park – the view of the surrounding mountains is stunning. It is an ideal starting point for high altitude excursions, walking, trekking, and winter and summer skiing. The camp site is also in a desirable location for those cyclists and bikers who want to try the highest passes of the Giro d’Italia – Tonale, Gavia, Mortirolo and Vivione; there are also various mountain bike trails.

The camp site lies in the beautiful wooded Avio Valley and it is an ideal location for nature lovers. In fact it is a quiet oasis, surrounded on three sides by a gorgeous forest of firs, larches, alders, ashes, silver birches and sorbs with red berries. This is what makes it different and special in any season: in summer you are totally immerse in a green surrounding, also due to the fact that the pitches have been placed on a well-maintained lawn; in autumn you will be astonished by the amazing colors of the tree – red, yellow and orange, and by the many varieties of mushrooms – in fact it is nearly impossible not to trample them; in winter the camp site is covered in a pure white blanket of snow.

In the main building there are a bar and a market but also well-kept restrooms and shower facilities with free hot water where you can find also a laundry room with a washer and a dryer; there are many common areas that the guests can use: a large portico with tables, barbecue and a stove to cook; there are a games room with a table-tennis table, a playground, picnic tables etc. that offer to the guests a good opportunity to socialize in groups.

We are currently remodeling the camp site in order to enlarge it, especially in regards to common areas; in addition the architectural barriers will be removed and new restrooms for disabled people will be built.

Only 1500 m. from the characteristic village of Temù and 4 km from Ponte di Legno. This village has a pretty historical centre with stores and trendy places. You can get to Ponte di Legno also walking along the woods.

Tonale Pass with its ski resort is located 12 km from the camp site and from next winter it will be connected to the bottom of the valley by new chairlifts and one of them is located only at a few hundred meters from the camp site.

Near the camp site you can find some pizzerias and typical restaurants but also a playground, a tennis court, a football court, a skate court and a mountain bike trail that in winter becomes a cross-country slope.

You can camp with your own equipment, stay in one of our rental caravans or, for summer 2005, in modern but comfortable stone chalets that can also accommodate disabled people. They have been built respecting the environmental limits and meet all the energy saving requirements that will make them eligible to acquire the Ecolabel certification.
The Presanella Camp Site is open year round.
